Happy Ghost

Happy Ghost

I hope to die before I wake
with minimal fuss and drama
Wake to find my music stopped
a dead key on life's piana

I would be shocked should it transpire
I was left to haunt the living
All that nonsense turned out true
I'm a spectre mean and moaning

But I would be a kindly ghost
like Casper in the movie
would not become some peeping tom
hide in wardrobes, get all pervy

Now I've come to think of it
a spirit might not be atrocious
I wouldn't need to brush my teeth
could be carefree and precocious
