Happy Fathers Day
The sun rose again this morning
Another special day to be alive
So much to be thankful for
Especially with you guys by my side
I don’t believe that one day
One moment in time
Should be celebrated - cherished
That would be such a crime
For all of life
The totality of what is dear
Perhaps missed
For it would exclude – the whole of the years
The years of love
Growing and unwanted pain
The things that built strength
A strong family – it’s insane
I don’t ascribe to “it’s a blessing”
Its consistent planning and love
Please thank your mother
Never ever miss a chance to give her a hug
If I’ve given you guy’s anything
If I’ve added something to your life
You have to remember
You guys have given back to me – and multiplied twice
Thank you guys for this day
Thank you for all that you do
Happy father’s day
I acknowledge - wouldn’t exist without you!
