Happy Ending Denied

I'd never felt happier never felt so at ease you were my warm winter fire and my cold summer breeze my light in the dark guiding every step of the way I can't believe you're gone until we meet again one day. I know I'll get over you and carry on like before I no longer sit feeling blue waiting for you to walk through the door to myself I stay true nursing the heart that you tore I will search for another you although there's not one, I am sure You told me you would wait but again you lied you said you'd never leave and would always be right by my side you promised you'd get better well you couldn't have tried because you left me all alone my happy ending denied
