Happy Birthday Mozart!
You’re deserving of a gift
For the music you’ve created
Gives so many such a lift.

You must know that you’ve inspired
Countless people through the ages
As we listen from the radio,
CD’s or concert stages.

So a toast to you today, sir
And a thank you from my soul
For the joy that you provide
I can’t sufficiently extol.

Maurice Rigoler February 1, 2018 at 7:46 PM Ah, you are a lady of great taste, Ilene! I'm a devoted fan of Mozart's music, and I've written a few poems about him. Haydn is the better symphonist and string quarter master, but no one, not even Beethoven, comes close to his concertoes for piano and orchestra. Imagine if he had lived beyond his 35 years! Thanks for posting this tribute to him. / M

We are rarely lucky enough to have among us such a creative genius as Mozart; the pity is that we do not extoll and appreciate him even more widely. (Even today, there are such geniuses among us, if we could only realize and recognize their gifts.)
