Happy Birthday Dad
So many years have past you by
Quicker than you thought
Dad, I want you to know
Enough years there are not !
Even though you think that I
Have a mind all of my own,
So much of you absorbed in me
I'll never be alone.
In some way or another
People say I'm like my Dad,
It's something that I am proud of
And it makes me very glad.
Today is your birthday
But I am the one getting the lift,
Because having you here with us
Is really the best gift!
