Happy Birthday

Happy Birthday!
by Melanie D Palmer
Seems like yesterday,
Was holding you in my arms.
Protected you, especially
From all harm.

Remember the first day, you
Climbed on the bus, let go of my hand
Now look at you, growing
Up to be a fine gentlman.

You have come so far
I am so proud of you, too
So glad you're my son
I love you.

Happy Birthday!

Had to write this for a contest
