My spirit uplifted when winter did relent I see slight dusting of snow in the park My thoughts are positive no discontent Somewhere spring has left its mark. The ground is hard and trees quite bare Icicles drip with a scattering of frost If I look carefully just not too sure where Will find small snowdrop lonely and lost. This tiny white beauty heralds spring Can feel happiness rising I smile and laugh To nature pay homage the robin sings Snowdrop perfection is winter's epitaph.
