Happiness Is Never Free
I’ve been thinking, about where I stand
And what defines me as a man
I’m a good father to amazing kids
If I've done nothin' else - I'm grateful for this
Family’s always number one you see
It never was a real hard choice for me
I was a lovin’ husband too
But somehow wound up failing you
I guess forever wasn't meant to be
And the cold hard truth I've come to see
Happiness is never free
Happiness is never free
I'm blessed with good friends that love me so
And the freedom to go where i wanna go
But I all ever feel these days is blue
Cause the truth be known - Baby I’m still missin' you
Family’s always number one you see
It was never a hard choice for me
I was a lovin’ husband too
But somehow wound up failing you
I guess forever was not meant to be
And the cold hard truth I’ve come to see
Happiness is never free
Happiness is never free
I know our train’s left the station
And it won't be slowin' down
I hope you find someone who loves you
Like I do right now
Family’s always number one you see
Never was a real hard choice for me
I was a lovin’ husband too
But somehow wound up failing you
I guess forever wasn't meant to be
And the cold hard truth I've come to see
Happiness is never free
Happiness is never free
Least not for me
Happiness is never free
