Happiness
HAPPINESS
I'm hoping for a happy day
the day was bright and fair,
and I was looking forward
for a happy day to share.
But soon was disappointed
by attitudes I could see,
making it quite obvious
happiness wasn't to be.
The waitress didn't smile,
it seems it's not her week,
maybe tips had been low
to make life looking bleak.
The salesman tried to sell me,
a car that had some class.
But he was so aggressive,
so decided to let it pass.
I visited a boutique store
to cheer up and buy a dress.
I must have been invisible
sales people couldn't care less.
So many in a hurry,
bad vibes pervaded the air.
A busker's hat was empty
and no one seemed to care.
Finally there was happiness
at last that was put in place.
This image brightened my day,
'twas a smile on a child's face.
I think we need to proclaim
a happiness day declare.
This would brighten up our lives
if people become aware.
We can choose to be happy
A smile is an easy action.
So put on a happy face
And cause a chain reaction.
