Happiness

I’m something full of laughs and joy.
Some do not see me. I am coy.
And some don’t see me very often.
But when they do I surely soften
Their whole existence and their own world
Is put upside down and all is swirled.
And there are others. Those others think
That some things are more important. Well,
Coffee in the morning, stranger’s wink,
First ever money, it’s all surely swell.

Love is my lifetime dearest friend.
We’re never apart, she’s my godsend.
I don’t know why but I hide a lot.
I’m in your heart. Wait, or maybe not.
If I don’t like it I go away.
To find a better place to stay.
Or maybe I’m in the mood to play
A trick on you to make you see
That you’re not what you want to be.
So stop pretending it won’t make me stay.
I’ll find a better place to hide away.
