Happening Upon a Faerie Tree

Once upon a summers eve I happened upon a faerie tree Saw an elf wiping off his delicate sleeve He wiggled his pointed toes at me. How dare you come to spy on us? He gave me a look of pure disgust. I apologize I said, I did not mean to cry. He said “I shall send you away, bye and bye.” I did not know what this meant I should do. Never having met the fey in the outdoors before. I decided to stay, and watch, and wait. Wouldn’t you? I watched faeries for an hour, maybe more. Best day of my life so far. I loved it more than a runaway star. The fey embraced me and gave me an honorary name. In their world now I have a teensy bit of fame.
