Hang Ups

(for anyone who works in sales...enjoy)


So… you make a dial; wearing a Kool-aid smile

Feeling real good; as you should

Only to hear… “Hello”; followed by a dial tone in your ear

Shocked and confused; what shall you do?

Call them again; pretend they did not offend?

Ask, “Are there issues with the phone”; sarcastically because you’re blown?

Me, I’d vent and joke for a bit; breathe and try not to have a fit

Then, I’d hang up my “Hang up” with a smile; on to the next dial!
