a superbly written and powerful Senryu. Words have so much power in them. Lots of imagery in this piece. You can see, feel and touch this firm handshake. Yes, nothing forgotten about this work of art. Keep telling the truth

Thank you so much for your kind feed back on my poems. I enjoyed your revolutionary poems and pick this poem which is simple in verse but tells a big story . Power of handshake and smile gives great interaction . It is amazing to tell such a big story in few lines. Love and peace - pali www.poetrypoem.com/swarnapaliliyanage

It's amazing the powerful effect a smile and a handshake evokes. It says I care about you much stronger than words. You captured so much in these three lines. Wow! Wonderful job! Thank you for the kind words regarding my haiku. Keep on writng. Karen

Yes, I learned this early on, too - always wow them with a firm handshake - it's not about external power, but personal empowerment, for me. Great senryu! Love Kristin

Michael, I totally agree with this piece as I also teach my boys not only about the handshake but also about looking people in the eyes. Great form and just perfect. Michael

Michael I enjoyed this! My father used to say that you could tell alot about a man by the way he shakes your hand. Rich or poor it mattered not just so long as he could look you in the eyes. This is the first time I've heard it spoken out loud from anyone else. It brings back good memories. Thanks for sharing this! Have a wonderful weekend dear Michael. Love Light Truth Patricia
