Hands of Time

Often I dream what my life would be
if only other choices were made;
if only…
what?
How wonderful to turn back the hands of time.

Often I dream to soothe ill I may have caused
if only those mistakes weren’t made;
if only…
what?
How wonderful to turn back the hands of time.

Often I dream to mold the future as I wish
if only I’d thought of that sooner
if only…
what?
How wonderful to turn back the hands of time.

Often I think how thankful I am
For a life that’s been so full;
for…
What?
Everything.
