Hands of Time

Lyrics and poetry are all that I have Too fast to understand, and too hard to grab Music and notes has always been my 2nd best To calm my soul and drown out all the rest Shelter and home with food on my plate Seems almost too hard for me to wait Lonely and lost I walk this never ending journey 'Til I end up dead or in a gurney Outrun by the evil hands of time For frantic searching of something I can't find Lost with a pen, imagination, and a pad Most of my writing, average people can't grab Because I write for myself deep in my heart I can't figure out where I am from end to the start Backwards and frontwards I run in circles with time Struggling desperately for something I can't seem to find Although I know what it is I'm looking for I'm running in the dark searching for success door Time is borrowed and oh so hollow But I sit by myself and drown in my sorrow...
