Hands of Faith

Hands so strong yet so easy to the touch,
give guidance, strength, discipline and love.

Wrinkles and crevices from work he has
done show his life as a mirror in the palms
of his hands.

To shake his hand you can feel the power
within, the love he has given and the man
he has been.

In times of happiness he uses his hands
to clap with glee and in times of sorrow
to cup the tears that fall so freely.

The most important thing he has done
with his hands he will say, is the thing
he does several times a day, as he
got on his knees, folded his hands
and began to pray.
