Halloween Poem # 2.....Vampire
I am as frightened as I can be
Looking for a hiding place
Seems a vampire's following me
But I want to stay in the human race
It moans and gurgles as it comes near
Leering and trying to leave its mark
So I keep running out of fear
And now the skies are turning dark
To suck my blood is what it wants
I only hope I'm not its type
But this is the reason that it hunts
And I thought vampires were just hype
It's out there seeking my neck to bite
Then I'll become a vampire too
With the gnawing hunger in the night
To sleep in coffins when day is new
If I can just make it till morning light
It won't be able to get to me
And I won't have to die of fright
When the sun comes up I'll be home free
