Halloween Night
Was it all the noise,
that gave you such a fright.
Or are there ghost among us,
on this Halloween night,
Flashes of bright lightning,
the thunders crashing roar.
A stranger out there lurking,
and banging on your door.
You hear the floors a creaking,
but there is nobody there.
A vision of someone sitting,
in your fathers favorite chair.
You run upstairs and lock the door,
pull the blankets over your head.
Then you start to ask yourself,
is this house surrounded by the dead.
After all there is a cemetery,
in a lot right down the road.
no one goes there anymore,
because of the spirits I am told.
