Halloween Horror of the Worst Kind
Ghosts, ghouls, goblins gravitate in groups, galore.
Mummies, movie stars, mysteries, magazines and more.
Super heroes, Snoopy, serendipitously stealthy.
Halloween happy, heart-felt humorously healthy.
Witches, warlocks, wonderful wizards, wistfully weaving,
Amongst the other costumed children, some parents heaving
From eating too much candy, on their way to the next house
Only one dressed in cheese head, holding a fluffy stuffed mouse.
Trick-or-treat night, a time we used to all have a good time.
Children are now trotted to neighborhoods outside their lines.
Taken to stranger’s houses, dumped off at each door to ring,
Adults in insane moods, staring at phones, rather than their offspring.
So if a child disappears on Halloween night,
We can blame technology,
Is that not right?
