Notes About The Poem

Author's Notes:  With this poem, entitled:  "Halloween Eve," I decided to do just one more Halloween theme write for 2014 since Halloween is tomorrow!!  This one is of a humorous nature and not so dark like some of my past writes.  And so, Enjoy!!  Happy Halloween!!  (Gary Bateman - October 30, 2014) (Rhyme Couplet poetic format)

Halloween Eve

Halloween Eve is a time for most “grave” reflection,
When Ghosts, Goblins, Ghouls show us no affection!

On this Eve the veil between life and death merge as one,
And the wicked spirits laugh so loudly making us all run!

They sing, chant, howl, scream, and dance with much delight,
While we the living wait for dawn praying for no more fright!

Boo! Boo! Boo! Boo! Happy Halloween! Happy Halloween!
Boo! Boo! Boo! Boo! Happy Halloween! Happy Halloween!

I deleted the other poem you commented on so I reply here about Fichte and Wittgenstein whom I have studied, of course BUT I belong to another camp of philosophers the one on Ethics and Metaphysics although I had straight A's on Analytic philosophy! My wife certainly knows Nietzsche and Kant and many, many more just like you. Fichte and Wittgenstein top her list as I mentioned. I studied some philosophy while at the university, but my primary humanities' interests were in history and literature and later Russian studies at the graduate level. Happy Halloween! Gary
