Halloween Dream

Last night I dreamt I was a wolfman in a wolf pack
And the wolf pack was on the attack
They all were starting to howl
And were on the prowl
Looking for a nighttime snack

Now, I will tell you Dear Reader
I was a Wolfman, so I was the leader
Under a Blood Red Full Moon
The wolves found small prey to eat real soon
But I being a Wolfman, was a human flesh eater

My dream almost turned into a nightmare
In my dream where I was, I didn't know where
All I could see was the Bold Red Full Moon above
Being a Wolfman of me, she was the master of
Beware me, have a care, don't feed the Wolfman there...

I wake up in the morning in my bed
And all of my bed sheets are red
I was the killer beast
Who had a bloody feast
And all that was left was her head...

I was tired from all of last night's festivities
I fell asleep in my best skivvies
I dreamt again that I was a Wolfman
Hunting another Human
Prowling to the best of my abilities

However, there was a Human Hunting me
A Hunter that I could not see
He hunted Vampires usually
The Undead was his specialty
I knew him by his smell, Van Helsing...

I woke up with a horrific pain in my back
This time I was under his attack
He shot me using his Bow and Arrow
He thought that I would die real slow
But I was rescued by my old undead friend, Drac

Now, allow me to recite an old poem, that I didn't even know that I know
This poem's about me it seems
I only know it in my dreams
The poem goes as so:

"Even a man who is pure in heart,
And says his prayers at night.
May become a wolf
When the Wolfbane blooms
And the Autumn Moon is bright."

Dracula nursed me back to health
He advised, "next time have a care and more stealth
When you're on the prowl at night
When the Moon is full and bright
And eat well my friend, your health is your wealth."

Drac turned into a Wolf and growled, "Now I go
To kill Van Helsing dead and end this hunting show"
Then he took off through the door
But I would see him again tonight once more
I would trail him to wherever he goes

I wanted revenge, Van Helsing was mine!
But I would have to abide my time
I followed him up to Dracula's Castle
Where he found me out and gave me a hassle
He cried, "Go back and heal, you're not fine!"

"Go home now and drink your wine
You're obsessed, your showing all of the signs"
I said, "Look, I don't do this for a thrill
I must have revenge, he's mine to kill!"
Drac said, "While I catch him you stay behind"

Drac did catch up with Van Helsing
Where he did some welcoming
He said, "Welcome to my Humble Abode
Where I live here all alone
Except for my 3 lovely bloodsucking Wives
Who are now going to take your life..."

I jumped out of the Shadows
And went straight for Van Helsing's throat
Drac took off after me and knocked me to the ground
I said, "Why did you do that, I could kill him where he was found"
Meanwhile, Van Helsing escaped by jumping into the most

"He got away, I whined and cried!"
Drac sternly said, "Shut up or I'll drain you dead!
He couldn't have survived the fall
And if he did, there's the Crocodiles and all
Now go home and crawl into bed!"

Suddenly, I started awake
Now what sense of this should I make
What I thought were Dreams
Have become Nightmares it seems
I'm going mad for god's sake

There was the Full Moon that night
It gave me quite a fright
So I went to bed in chains
From me killing again I hoped to refrain
My mind and thinking were not right

Just as sudden, I fell asleep
Very, very deep
Again I started to dream
And it would seem
That I fell into The Sandman's Tower Keep

When I awoke, I was scared to heck!
There was Van Helsing bleeding from his neck
Dracula and Wives feasted well last night
It must have been a bloody sight
To end the Hunter's Blight

I didn't realize it, but all that seemed
Was just a Dream within a Dream
As said by a Prolific Poet you should know
His name was Edgar Allen Poe
Of the Horror Writing Crop, he was the Cream!

Even in a dream, what worries me is one thing
Was how do I wake up from this Dream Journey?
I seem to be stuck in the middle with no end in sight
And the Blood Red Full Moon is rising again tonight
I would have to go on the prowl cause she commands it of me

Dracula and I are stuck in this dream I fear
Our lives and deaths she will shape and steer
Drac and I together
Will haunt this dream forever
The Halloween Dream is Here!
