Halloween

As I sat home alone, got a call on the phone. It was someone I'd known. His glaring eyes were staring at me said, "You can't hide, wait and see. Until death, you will live in misery." I quickly hung up on this creep, that night I just couldn't sleep. I laid there, began to weep. As the wind began to blow, I heard his voice bellow. Was by my window below. I really began to shake, knew my life was at stake. I heard my window break. I had already locked my door. Heard glass shatter to the floor. He'd done this to me before. He'd disconnected my phone, had to try and escape on my own. Where I would go was unknown. As I jumped out my window to escape, he had just pulled back the drapes. Was scared I'd be killed or raped. I hoped I could start my truck, probably wouldn't my luck. That would really suck. I got away just in time.
