With pumpkins big and small, yellow and gold,
Scattered all over the farm, they look the best,
Jack sits with the pumpkins carved into Jack-o-lantern mold.
Jack led a life of sin, drink and mendacity, which left many in cold,
He played trick even with the devil, and on his death, found himself homeless and upset,
With pumpkins big and small, yellow and gold.
Children doing trick or treat the Halloween night is a sight to behold,
Ghostly, Spooky, contemporary costumes add fear to the fest,
Jack sits with the pumpkins carved into Jack-o-lantern mold.
On All Saints night, the icons of graves and skulls all over fit in the mold,
In the middle of dark night, the ghosts and goblins roam without any arrest,
With pumpkins big and small, yellow and gold.
As frosty patches over the grass take hold,
Jack will be alone with all the pumpkins disposed,
With pumpkins big and small, yellow and gold
Jack sits with the pumpkins carved into Jack-o-lantern mold.
