Halloween

Children are a bound
With monsters all around
Some costumes are scary
Others are all hairy

Can’t wait to get some candy
Need to have the bag handy
Running up to the door
Hoping to get some more

Love this time of year
Memories I hold dear
I remember enjoying my cider
When I was scared by a spider

After a night of trick or treat
I sort through the sour and sweet
Trying this and that
Knowing it will make me fat

Finally, I lay in bed
Glad to rest my head
As I start to dream
I wake up with a scream
