Halloween

Its season starts as stores wind down, removing signs of Labor Day sale, replacing them with new displays, giving shoppers no time to pause or exhale. Blackness becomes the signature color, with trim of orange for effect. Exhibits designed to threaten and scare, make terror the leading subject. Men with little connection with God, create scary scenes on their lawns, using witches, caskets and music-- their houses becoming dark carillons. Some people splurge and go to excess, making a ghastly and gory scene, that spreads ideas to all who see, celebrating death at Halloween.
