Hall of Mirrors
Consciousness looking at its reflection
by making the object as the subject
parallel mirrors in contemplation
who is who, in hypnotic trance forgets
until the self enters meditation
Quietened attention, all thoughts suspect
poised attentively, thus in cessation
layer by layer, delusion ferrets
truth of oneness, sudden recognition
whereupon hermit gets to the summit
