Half-Life

Sliding on the ice
Slipping down on lullabies
Too cold to hold my own
But now I know I’m all alone

Drying in the sand
Lost my water, lost my land
Too tired to find a spring
But now I know I am sleeping

Diving into blue
Ocean’s madness gets me through
Too weak to swim to shore
But now I know I want this more

Hiding in the rocks
What it’s from I’ve now forgot
Too dark to find the way
But now I know this is the day

Lifeless on and on
All I need will drift along
Too dead to really see
That now I know I scream to be
