Half Your Heart

I'm no fool you know
theres way more on my mind than I would ever say out loud
Don't take my silence as a lack of knowledge, just a lack of sound

Cause I'm not sure what to say to you
Sometimes I can't tell if I'm speaking to you or your wall
So without the risk of being ignored
I say nothing at all

It's cold when we're alone
the words you whisper aren't your own

I am beautiful
but not you're kind of beauty
I am worth it
just not your kind of worthy

I am talented, intelligent, true
I am well desired
just not by you

Yes It hurts but it's no surprise
a woman knows when you look in her eyes
and see someone else.
I may have never said it out loud
but I always knew how you felt

Half your heart wants to love me
the other half isn't sure
cause I might be enough
but I'll never be her

What a beautiful day and how wonderful it is to be able to read what was on your mind and in your heart when you wrote this poem Nicole. I hope you have a weekend full of new found inspiration. Love, Carol
