Half of You

No matter how much love I show, And how much time I spend with them, And give them what he cannot give, I know they’ll never be my kids What’s half of him and half of you Will never be a part of me, And though it hurts to face the truth, That’s just how it will always be And yet I know I’ll love them still, As if they really were my own, So you and I can share with them A safe and happy home.
