Half Full

The next time I want to complain
All I need to do is look at another's road
For I would have to be so vain
To say I’m not happy with what God has sowed

The next time that I begin to feel a little low
I need only to once again look around
Seeing all the pain that so many others know
I begin to realize how God has let me grow

And when my heart begins to ache
Let me remember the words that God has spoken
So even when my own heart begins to break
I can comfort the hearts that have already broken

Suddenly I'm realizing that I have so much
And so much to be thankful for
So that next time I’ll remember this little touch
And thus I will not fall but instead soar
