Half Empty Or Half Full
Sitting in a corner is an empty glass
The only weight inside is this heavy mass
I stare at it as I take a sip sitting still
Pouring it down like a bitter pill
It’s transparency gives light to
All this emptiness inside of me
So light and fragile to this touch
Not really feeling all that much
Stirring all those crazy emotions
Swirling deep down inside this ocean
But it can shatter in one small motion
As tears poured out with no notion
And for each line as I carefully wrote
I empty it slowly down my throat
This passion inside a fire invoked
A cold sweating glass, writing a note
