reminds me of this poem by Ferris Gilli " night rain– / the small serrated song / of a frog " Her style always seems to resonate with me. It's one of my favorite style to use.

I have never written a haiku before. Based on your fine example, perhaps I will try in the near future. I tend to be long-winded and a little old-fashioned (lots of rhymes), by there is power in brevity, as I see from your poem. John
