Haiku Sunrise

rising in the east 
a shimmering golden orb ~
darkness becomes light 

*

swirls of morning mist
ghostly spectres hovering ~
fade as sun rises

*

as the sun climbs high
shadows cast on the landscape ~
now retreat slowly
