lilac trees in spring
overflowing with colours
cascading blossoms

cherry tree in bloom
full of flowering foliage
strong scent of perfume

early buds of spring
peeking out of the branches
delayed nest building

My experience of a lilac tree in spring still leaves my head spinning with the unforgettable heady heavenly scent. I broke off a branch and let it hang near the air conditioning in the car as we drove and it perfumed the car’s air. Your haiku bursts with scents and colors of spring. Beautiful! Bravo! Thanks for your comment on my haiku. It is a later spring and had snow two days ago which melted as it came down. Putting the pots of flowers in the garage to keep them warm at night. Have a lovely day. love phyl
