those poor okies!! That is great how you could get a haiku like this from the situation though.

I live ten miles south of where it happened, and was in a storm shelter, watching the news on my cell phone. It made quite an impact on everyone around here, and the area is far from being restored.

I will say, a very well written haiku that puts me right in the mood of the situation... I'm only sad for the inspiration behind it.
