I love your grand haiku, Roy, and the lovey imagery - especially ingenious is the use of the word 'seasoned' in your last line - brilliant! The old oak looks magnificent as well. A great haiku and congratulations on your well deserved win! Warmest wishes.. ~Susan

Roy, Had the photo been attached and it was a haiga contest then 2 would have become 1. Love the haiku, must be over 30 years since I was down that way, is it still there? Congratulations on your 2nd place, Mick

Thank you so much for my placement in your contest Mick, wasn’t sure what a haiga was had to look this up and now understand, the major oak is still standing approx age between 800- 1000 years old, thanks again, looking forward to your next contest. :))
