Gypsy Eyes

I saw black birds against cloud canvas,
     aestheticism in motion.
I saw a rainbow tower meet sky,
and I supposed a pot of gold.
Everywhere jade gypsy eyes roam,
I see jewels, swirling skirts and God.

I am back again Kim..I find it beyond strange That this write mirrors the reminicing of that Old Gypsy woman..The memory comes alive When I read such lines.' There Is more in life Than always meets the eye.'

The poem is more about how a poet’s eyes wander and wonder. My eyes happen to be green and I come from a Hungarian background though I’m not a gypsy ;)

Seeing God Kim..' The main plus' I feel you are Almost looking through my eyes or I through Yours.? This connects many pieces of imagery No gold at the end of the rainbow though.. An Old Gypsy told me so.' Beautifully enhanced colours you will find, she said' if ever One arrives' She and three others got caught in a rainbows End, her husband's hair went from a Blondie brown to A rich gold.. Maybe that's where the gold legend springs from.? Wistful you have made me.) Oh and red or any colour was almost alive That's it.' I had contact with and knew her over 50 years I accept this as a true account there may well Be a soup member with the same Experience.? If so I'd love to hear of it.)

Love your wistfulness, Joe! Imagination is at the end of the rainbow. The rainbow draws our eyes up to see God. His whole creation allows our mind to wander…wonderful! Thank you, Joe!
