'Gun Fun Is Done' Said The Important One

Angry was the man

Filled with urgent command

Need to take a stand

“Gun, I control

Being very bold

Never going to fold

My shells tarnished gold”

Child came along

Whistling a dixie song

Knowing something was wrong

With the angry man

Taking a stand

With a gun he controlled

Being very bold

“Sir can I have a word

About something I heard

You spoke

Deadlier than. the cigarettes you smoke

Bullets are gold

Even those silver, I am told

Littering shells

Heeding their bell

Ready to tell

Target hit

Slugs a bit

And when the tantrum fit concludes

On the slab victim goes, totally nude

I know I am just a boy

But this gun is not a toy

It doesn’t bring much joy

In fact

Heat it does pack

They once said

When not dead

Ordering drinks at the bar

Acting like a lone star

Sir

With your sharp spurs

You are not cool

To be honest you are a fool

What makes you think

I want this thing that stinks

If I do not go near

A gun creating fear

No tears

Will I shed

Sleeping in my innocent bed”

And that is how you control a gun

Just say “No

It is time to go

A gun

Is not any fun”

Replace the nightmare with a dream

Smile, dispense the scream

Then greet with a handshake

Since peace it will make

Cancelling a need for a wake
