Guilty
When equality becomes too technical
Too complicated, too severe
When this concept needs scrutinizing
Lord, please help us to see clear
That no law that is made by humans
Can demand or even forbid
What should come as free and natural
As the Creator intended it
In our hearts and in our being
We all know, and we all feel
That we’re all created equal
But then society cuts a deal
Each will get the part he’s given
Some get more than others get
Be it privilege or inclusion
Either way, they’re all set
For this life of inequality
And not caring about the rest
Woe! to those who keep ignoring,
The guilty beating in their chest.
