Guessing Game My first is in bat and It's also in ball Second is seen in fell but is not in fall Third is in lover also in desiring Fourth is in my rhyme, my rhythm and my rhyming Fifth is found in cloud and in silver lining. My name is a gemstone seen biblically It is the real me that no one can see The reason is kids at school made fun of me So I shortened my name and think you'll agree The one I use is more complimentary. 11th August 2021

what a fab riddle me re, I love your name as Belle and Beryl is so pretty - I feel so bad for writing Beryl the peril recently but its pure co-incidence as I never thought of you as anything other than Belle! You can wield your pen with poems like this, I doubt they would tease you now. Love your poetry and witty way with words:-) hugs Jan xx

Hi Jan, I must admit when I saw the title of your poem I got a strange feeling, took me back to the days when I was teased at school. I loved your poem it was hilarious and it did inspire me to write this poem. Hugs, Belle :-) xx

Great Riddle! :) Today I learnt that Beryl is a transparent pale green, blue, or yellow mineral consisting of a silicate of beryllium and aluminium, sometimes used as a gemstone - I learn something new every day here at PS. Now I know the origin of your shortened first name I'm dying to know if you ever rode the now defunct Bobs rollercoaster at Belle Vue, Manchester. (I love wooden rollercoasters) Cheers - Gary

Gary, silly as it sounds I’ve never been to Manchester, so I’ve never got to ride defunct Bob’s rollercoaster at Belle Vue, have rode many others though, loved them in my youth. About my name, I hated it until I grew up and found it was mentioned in the bible a few times, but still prefer to be called and known as Belle. Thank you!
