Guarding On High

Please don't cry my dear ones
I did not go away
I'm standing here beside you
Only caring for you in different ways

The Lord he looked down to earth
He saw that I was sick, was weak
So he sent his angels down
To carry me to peace

They took me up to Heaven
Where a review of my life with God I had

He showed me all my life's work
The good times, the bad

I watched my whole life flash before me
In what seemed like the blink of an eye

I even watched the day I died
I saw each of you cry

After it was over he looked at me and said
"I love you child, I saw you struggling."
"I saw you thought you could no longer give your best."

He looked at me and smiled and told me I had more work to do
But this was on the highest level so I needed to leave you

So please don't cry for me for I'm right here by your sides
I was brought up here to Heaven, God gave me the greatest task
I get to sit amongst the Lord and his angels to love to guard to protect

Though I know you sad, dry your eyes don't weep
For I'm finally home
I'm happy here
My heart is at peace
