Guardian Angels
sometimes to regain the truth you revisit your past,
as if seeing your life through an hourglass,
sometimes forced to remember as we try to forget,
to value our love, to put us at rest,
we see a new view we haven't seen from before,
to show us a new perspective, to show us there's more,
some lessons are painful but guide us to see,
what our hearts need to notice, where our hearts meant to be,
the paths we choose, our past mistakes,
the loves we've lost, and the chances we take,
and the ones who taught us love at its best,
we cherished and admired amungst all the rest,
who stood by our side and never let us down,
saw through our hidden pains and still stuck around,
and though they may be gone, their love still exists,
their spirit with you, they left you this gift,
now here to remind you of loves true reward,
these guardian angels love passed down are reborn.
