Guardian Angel
On the pink feet of innocence
she falls across the twilight sky.
A call, however faint has
gone out from the darkness
of the earth below.
God spoke the words into
celestial ears and now she
answers on wings of light.
Spun by the touch of moonbeams
and handfuls of star dust,
on alabaster wings she floats
unto the muddy slimy ground.
She leaves behind the glory
and the shining light of heaven,
to protect and guard
the delicate hearts on earth.
God’s gift to his wayward children.
