Guard Your Tongue
Guard Your Tongue,
For
Words Never Retreat

Our words become heat seeking missiles,
When impairing others is their intent.
Once launched they can’t be retracted,
By the tongue from which they’re sent;
It’s in our hearts these words are birthed,
Our tongue, their exclusive launching pad;
Once launched we often suffer remorse,
And our thoughts turn toward the triad.
So remember, that a done can’t be undone,
And from dormancy words emerge into play;
Words that devastate the heart of another,
God says we’ll answer for on judgment day.
