Guard
You wonder why I keep my guard down and I'll tell you the reason
You act like I am royalty yet you still commit treason
How could I trust you when you do the opposite of what you say
Your lies and actions are somewhat cliche.
You say things about me and yes I take offense
I put my guard up higher because it's my only defense.
The words you speak are unethical and a sham
they prove to me you have no idea who I am.
You know how you can get right under my skin
but the ice that your skating on is getting pretty thin.
No one can break my heart because its already broken
I refuse to be used in the game where I am the token.
If you need me as much as you claim
your the one who needs to move theres no one else to blame.
You better move faster please don't keep me waiting
paralyzing nervousness always anticipating.
I can show you everything I have nothing left to hide
just promise if I let my guard down you will stay by my side.
