Growing Up

I'm growing up mommy and now here I am smiling down on you, I want to know if you can
handle it. Handle that i'm not a little girl anymore, I am still your little girl but in
reality I am getting old. I won't be here forever so don't take offense when I tell you
that some day I will have to move on we might hardly see each other like you said. I will
miss you, I will call you, and no matter how far away from me you are I will visit when I
want to. Your my mommy and no matter what we will never lose touch, A day won't go by
where I won't be thinking about all you've done. I'm college bound in just 2 more years
and I promised daddy I would do it and here I am. I'm ready to become what I've been
dreaming of for so long and when I head for the stars you won't be far. You'll be sitting
in my dream house, I bought it for you because you said you loved it and whatever you
desire I will get. I want to take you away from this life, the pain is over and I want to
make sure it stays gone. So mommy i'm growing up and I just wanted to let you know that
people compliment me all the time about how much I look like you. That means your doing
it right, The mother you've been ill keep that in mind as I raise my kids and they will
cherish the ground you walk on. I will tell them stories of my childhood and how you
helped. So mommy i'm growing up but just know I will never forget you.
