Growing Old..

So tired of adverts
On anti wrinkle cream
How to stay young and free

Growing older
In the normal sense of the word
Is more important to me

Rather than looking for crows feet
I want to be out in the garden
Playing with daughter and having fun

She doesn't care what I look like
Whats paramount is that I am there
Another day has begun

I think of all the people
Who have lost their lives
So young and so full of hope

So what if we get another wrinkle
In the perspective of things
I am sure we will cope

The fact I age is a wonderful sign
The beautiful thankyou I carry on
Be there for my little girl as she begins to grow

As for the anti ageing process creams
You can keep them all
I'm alive, and grateful for that

That's all I need to know....

Thanks, my friend, if we live long enough the paper turns yellow too ... and its not gold, but the word, the word, Jo, from the beginning until now it is eternal. I never write it, it wrote me ... and wrote the optimism of this poem too. Love always
