Grow Up Slow

As I hold you in my arms
I see your future in my eyes
You will always be with me
And we will never say our good-byes

I will always be here for you
I'm in this 'til the end
I'll always be around
And I'll always have a hand to lend.

We will fight and we will argue
But that will never change my love
Some times I'll embarrass, but I'll always care
In my eyes you're pure as a dove.

With tiny little hands and feet
I know you'll grow to be taller than me
I hope for you to dance through this life,
Take every opportunity, and be all you can be.

You will always be my baby
No matter how much you grow.
Although I can't wait to see your accomplishments,
Promise me you'll grow up slow.
