Grow Higher

Grow higher That sun I perceived when I took birth— Not that sun now exists over my head With scolding heat, Under the frantic shadowless sky I walk In the darkness, in the turmoil of arid wind With sluggish tormented mind, Rain lost its mist, no dew drops, The earth is in dire need of Shadows, mists and dews, I want to feel the glow of sun again That dawned the horizon and rocked me In the cradle, I see the trees spread Their deepest roots within the earth, With buds, leaves and flowers grow Higher and higher.
