Gripped By Grace

Well what exactly is grace?
God's righteousness at Christ's expense
this sums up God's favour
which His chosen people do experience

So what's it like to be gripped?
by God's grace so undeserving
this grace so full of God
that one can't help but sing

Maybe it's like being held
living under every watchful eye
knowing each error is watched
but also that you will fly

Fly to where? You say
to Christ makes you full
as this fullness tips your cup
no matter you stay cool 

This grace really holds you tight
to overcome the darkness of the night
living within this wondrous grip
eternally ever on this trip
